Step 1: Shut off the water
Turn off the main water supply to stop the flow of water.
Step 2: Drain the pipes
Open faucets to empty the pipes and reduce pressure.
Step 3: Apply epoxy putty
Small leaks can be fixed temporarily with epoxy putty. Mold the putty around the leak and let it cure.
Step 4: Replace damaged sections
For larger leaks, cut out the damaged section of pipe and replace it with new piping. Secure the new section in place using appropriate fittings.
